Imogen Mansfield’s artistic practice is rooted in writing and photography, extending also into performance, walking scores, and site-responsive sculptural gestures. Her process is guided by the resonant quality of encounter between self and place, through which she explores and composes a language attentive to notions of permeability, enmeshment, wayfinding, and pursuit. Her work traces the subtle exchanges that transpire between beings close and far, seeking coherence in uncertainty and dwelling within the thresholds that moor and shape our present – informing the imminent experience of our biology, biography, and the imaginative life.
